Halil Tekinalp
Dr. Halil Tekinalp received his PhD from Chemical Engineering Department at Clemson University. He is a senior R&D Scientist at the Manufacturing Science Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and works on the development of sustainable materials and manufacturing technologies. His research focuses on development of bio-derived fiber-reinforced composite systems and understanding the microstructure-property relationship of these materials, as well as development of composite recycling technologies. In addition to bio-composite development, he also has experience in polymer processing and polymer additive manufacturing, supercritical fractionation of petroleum pitch, and production and characterization of activated carbon fibers.
